In preparation for a major expansion of our business which we are doing this year, we have been focused on increasing our security in ways that provide more protection for the company and our members as we prepare to dramatically increase in size.

We’ve hired additional security teams to review each part of our system in preparation for this expansion. They have been hard at work testing each part of our system and they found an inconsistency in the Mining Voucher Program that some members were taking advantage of by not completing payment for their voucher. The company lost some money on these vouchers.

This security issue was remedied and those members were identified and the company is in the process of seeking restitution from those members who purposefully attempted to defraud the company.

During the time of our security research, we were forced to temporarily disable a small number of accounts for multiple members for some hours. Not all of the accounts that were disabled were attempting to defraud the company but they were flagged during the time of our security review once the system identified the issue. We apologise that this very temporary security measure was required for a few accounts during a short amount of time and all of the accounts not involved in the fraudulent attempts were quickly reopened.

The fact that we had a team of members who attempted to defraud the company is deeply disappointing to us and underlines the need for expanded compliance and security initiatives designed to keep all of our good members, leadership and the company safe as we continue to expand in the future.
